PRIVATE AND GROUP LESSONS

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY LESSONS?
Most of Rhapsody's lessons are year round and are automatically charged at the top of each month. Programs with a definitive start and end date, like our Rock Band Gig Band program, can be paid up front or in two incremental payments.

WHAT IS YOUR PRICING FOR LESSONS?
Our year-round, private lessons start at $140 per month per student. Our Performance Ensembles range in price from $125 to $250 with discounts for our concurrent and returning students.

WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE A LESSON OR NEED TO CANCEL?
Life happens. We get it and we do our best to make-up your lesson.

Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or with no notification at all are not eligible for rescheduling and will be charged to your credit card. In the event that a lesson has been cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, the student may be granted, but is not guaranteed, a rescheduled lesson, based on time permitting in the instructor’s schedule.

Rhapsody School of Music reserves the right to make exceptions to this cancelled lesson procedure.

HOW DO I RESCHEDULE A LESSON?
Please call our store at 623.465.7060 and we help you over the phone or stop by the store. Please make sure that all reschedules happen through our front desk and not your instructor.

WHAT IF MY LESSON LANDS ON A HOLIDAY?
Simply reschedule your lesson within that same month to ensure you receive all four of your monthly lessons. Rock Band Gig Band lessons that conflict with a holiday will be rescheduled via your mentor.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY INSTRUCTOR ISN'T AVAILABLE?
Life happens to our musical instructors as well. In the rare case that your instructor is unable to make your lesson, Rhapsody School of Music will make every effort to reschedule the lesson at the student’s convenience. In the event Rhapsody School of Music cannot find an appropriate time for the student, you will not be charged for that week.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY LESSONS?
We would hate to see you go, but if you need to cancel your ongoing lessons, you can cancel at any time. First, please let your instructor know. From there, please let a sales associate know in our store. You will be given a short form to fill out stating the date of your last lesson and the reason. We will then cancel all future lessons starting with the next month. Examples: If you cancel your lessons on May 31, you will not be charged for June on. If you cancel your lessons on May 10, you will not be reimbursed for the remaining lessons for May and we would encourage you to finish out your month with us.

PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE PROGRAM

HOW DO I GET IN A PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE?
Simply contact Rhapsody and depending upon your skill level, we will place you in either our Training Band program or Gig Band program. Make sure to let us know the style of band you are interested in so that we can create the right band for you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE QUITS MY BAND?
We've seen "That Thing You Do" and it happens. Sometimes people do leave a band. But it's okay. We find new members to replace them or, if time is tight, an instructor will take that spot to ensure your gig is still as great as it can be.

HOW LONG IS EACH PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE SESSION?
Typical sessions are 10-weeks long with some shorter mini-sessions, typically 6-weeks, happening throughout the year.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BE IN A PERFORMANCE ENSEMBLE?
Please visit our full, detailed Performance Ensemble page by clicking here for further details and costs per session.

RENTALS

HOW DO I RENT AN INSTRUMENT WITH RHAPSODY?
Just stop in during our normal store hours and let an associate know what instrument you are interested in renting. We will ask you to fill out paperwork before taking the instrument with you and will ask for your payment information.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY INSTRUMENT RENTAL?
Your card will be kept on file and charged each month for the agreed upon fee.

DO I REALLY NEED INSTRUMENT RENTAL INSURANCE?
We highly recommend that you do purchase rental insurance for your instrument. Some instruments can cost thousands of dollars and while young children are as careful as can be, accidents still happen. Insurance can be added for just $5 more a month giving you and your student piece of mind.

CAN I ADD RENTAL INSURANCE AFTER I STARTED RENTING?
The short answer is, no. You must add the insurance before taking the instrument out of the building.

WHAT IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY INSTRUMENT?
Accidents do happen and when they do, contact us immediately and bring the instrument back to the store. If you have insurance, we will replace the instrument on the spot (if we are out of your specific instrument, we will have a new instrument in within a week). If you do not have insurance, we will assess the damage and will work with you accordingly to cover all needed expenses. Again, we highly recommend instrument rental insurance.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY INSTRUMENT RENTAL?
Unlike many stores, you can cancel with Rhapsody at any time. Simply bring in your instrument where it will be inspected. Once inspected, we will cancel all upcoming charges.

IF I CANCEL HALF WAY INTO A MONTH, DO I GET A PARTIAL REFUND?
There are no partial refunds for canceling within a month. Your cancellation will begin on the 1st of the following month. Examples: If you bring your instrument in on May 31st, you will not be charged for June. If you bring your instrument in on May 2, you will still be charged for all of May.
